Hello Everyone:
Please be sure make plans to participate in the upcoming Independence Home Days parade on Saturday, August 5th. The theme for this year’s event is “Celebrating the 100th Home Days” and our float is shaping up very nicely. Since it is the 100th event, it would be amazing to have at least 100 kids and Dads from CVNSND to march in the parade along with our float Please wear your CVNSND T-shirts and head dresses. Also, be ready to have some fun by handing out the candy and wooden nickels which will be provided. We will line up at 11:30 AM next Saturday most likely on Brecksville Road, although the exact location will be communicated as soon as it is known. Please make every effort possible for both you and your children to join in the fun of the parade and create some new memories together!
Also, Dads, please consider helping out the longhouse by volunteering with your child or children at the CVNSND booth during your tribe’s time slot during the evening of Friday, August 5th and / or Saturday, August 6th, during the afternoon and evening. Any community events like Home Days or any other parades, etc., are great ways for our group to gain exposure within the community and to invite new Dads to check us out and to join our organization.
The future of our great organization relies on continued strength in membership. If the many events which are currently enjoyed by our families are going to be able to continue in the future, we need to maintain (and actually increase) our membership levels well in to the future. Years ago, I learned a terrific phrase which I have never forgotten and it can be applied in all facets of your life; business, personal, family, etc. The memorable phrase is as follows: “Anything that is good…. becomes even better when you share it.”
If you think about that phrase as it relates to CVNSND, it can be very powerful. Creating memories together with our children is definitely a good thing, so let’s share our experiences with other families out in the community to help it become even better for more families. All of us as members of CVNSND need to invite non-member families within the cities of Brecksville, Broadview Heights and Independence to join our great organization this Fall by attending the Recruiting Rally on Wednesday, September 7th, 2016. Word of mouth is our most valuable method of keeping our organization strong, so please be sure to communicate all of the great benefits of being a member of CVNSND to as many non-member families as possible from today through September 6th.
Thanks to all for your continued support of our great organization. Have a great week and I am looking forward to seeing everyone next weekend at the 100th Independence Home Days celebration.
