Spring Campout

You MUST be a registered member through Circle Bridge to participate. If you are not registered, you will not be able to attend even if you paid for the campout. This campout is open to children K-8th grade. Don’t forget to bring some cash for our charity walk and to purchase blank T-shirts to tie dye. Saturday dinner will not be provided by camp (see below).

Are you ready to create memories that will last a lifetime?
Friday night’s activities will include a pizza and chicken wing party, and our wing sauce competition for anyone who would like to enter. Dads get your recipes dusted off; patches will be given out to anyone who enters. Trophies will be given out for 1st through 3rd place.
Saturday morning, we will have our annual charity walk.
Saturday and Sunday daytime activities will include a variety of the following: horseback trail ride ($25 per rider), archery, archery tag, BB’s, fishing, canoeing/kayaking, pontoon boat rides, pony rides, tie dye your own t-shirt, cardboard boat race (See Info Below), zipline, giant swing, leap of faith (Dads Only), water trampoline, gaga ball, 4 square, and 9 square.
Saturday evening will conclude with our famous torch march, followed by a graduation ceremony for our 4th grade tribes, and bonfire. Remember to bring your torch with a wick (cotton rag) and have a tribe chant ready for the medicine man to light your tribe’s torches.

General Items to Bring:
CASH for the charity walk and to purchase blank t-shirts for tie dye.
Bring adequate (and extra) clothing appropriate for the time of year; boots, jacket, sweatshirt, hat, gloves, ponchos, CVNSD vest & headdress, swim suites, and towels. Remember to bring flashlights, torch & cotton rag (for Saturday night torch march), bug repellent, lawn chairs, first aid kits, sleeping bag & pillow, sports equipment, camera, games, and fishing gear if you want to fish. Bring your toiletries such as a toothbrush, toothpaste, comb, washcloth, towels, soap, razor (or not), and sunscreen. If your Tribe is cooking dinner at your cabin on Saturday night bring your own food & cooking equipment. Other optional items include coffee pot, matches, grill, charcoal lighter, skewers, cooler, pop, canteen, snacks, cups, plates, towels, folding table, and s’more ingredients.
What is Provided by Camp Tippecanoe?
Cabins will be furnished with bunk beds; each side of the camp has its own bath house.
PLEASE NOTE: To reduce the cost of the campout, Saturday dinner WILL NOT be provided by Camp Tippecanoe, please plan accordingly with your tribe or other tribes.
The cost for the campout includes most meals for the weekend. All meals provided will be in the main lodge. Camp Tippecanoe provides the following meals – Saturday breakfast and lunch, and Sunday breakfast. Coffee, milk, and juice are provided at all meals. For those with dietary restrictions and food allergies please contact Michael Rollins at cvnsndmedman@gmail.com. If you have children with food allergies, you are welcome to bring food from home for your use at mealtimes. This food can be stored in the kitchen refrigerator/freezer in the main lodge. Be sure to label all containers with your child’s name.
Cardboard Boat Race:
Each tribe will try their hand at crafting a boat out of only cardboard and packing tape. The longhouse will provide each tribe with 4 rolls of packing tape. Each tribe will be responsible for their own cardboard. Tribes are not allowed to add anything that will help give the boat more buoyancy, such as pool noodles etc. However, tribes are allowed to decorate the boat with whatever they like. If you have a tape gun at home, it is highly recommended that you bring it!
Charity Walk:
On Saturday morning, we will hold our annual charity walk to benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.Their Mission: The mission of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is to advance cures, and means of prevention, for pediatric catastrophic diseases through research and treatment. Tippecanoe does not have enough capacity for families to stay alone in a cabin. We will do our best to keep all tribes together. If you have multiple children and would like to stay together as a family in one cabin,please select the same tribe for your entire family when you register.Upon arrival at Tippecanoe, all campers must check in at the main lodge on Friday evening or upon arrival on Saturday.
