Oak Grove Pavilion, Brecksville Metroparks – Rain or Shine!

Hey there, Native Sons & Daughters…let’s get this party started – by that I mean the 2016-2017 event year. Make plans to join the Wahoo tribe at this year’s Recruiting Rally on Wednesday, September 9th, from 6:30-9:30 pm at the Oak Grove Picnic area located in the Cleveland Metroparks Brecksville Reservation. The event will take place weather (pun intended) it rains or shines!

This event is always a lot of fun! It’s a great time to catch-up with all the CVNSND dads you haven’t seen over the summer, and the kids are always excited for the official start of another great year. At the Rally, our officers will give a brief presentation to interested dads about the Native Sons and Daughters program. Highlights of the evening will include a rocket launch demonstration, and an authentic Native American tale from our storyteller. We’ll have music, activities, and CVNSND displays.

The Longhouse will provide hot dogs, drinks, and dessert. This is also a great opportunity to stock-up on official CVNSND apparel, register for the Fall Campout and more, so remember to bring your checkbook. If you have friends or neighbors who have kids in grades K-4, talk to them about the program and invite them to the Rally. Year after year, “word-of-mouth” is still our best recruiting tool.

Driving directions from Route 21 South and Route 82 in Brecksville: Take Route 21(Brecksville Road) South 1.2 miles to Valley Parkway. Turn left on Valley Parkway, headed east into the Brecksville Reservation. Continue east on Valley Parkway 1.2 miles to the Oak Grove Picnic Area and turn right. The parking area is close to the Pavilion.
