Cleveland Charge Basketball Game and Fundraiser

December 20, 2022 @ 8:00 am - 5:00 pm EST

Our longhouse has secured a total of 25 discounted tickets for our members to attend a Cleveland Charge basketball game on Wednesday, December 28th, 2022.  Tip-off is 7:00 P.M. and the cost is only $7.00 per ticket.  The Cleveland Charge are an American professional basketball team in the NBA G (Developmental) League based in Cleveland, Ohio, and they are affiliated with the Cleveland Cavaliers.  The team plays its home games at the Wolstein Center located on the campus of Cleveland State University.  Prior to last season, the Charge were based out of Canton, OH.  The players on the team are working hard to make their way on to an NBA roster in the future.  Tickets will be sold on a first-come first-served basis due to the limited quantity of tickets.  To claim your tickets, send me an e-mail at to let me know how many you would like to purchase.  You can make it a fun family event and bring mom, friends, cousins, neighbors… whomever you would like to bring along to enjoy the action on the court.

In addition, this event is an opportunity for our longhouse to raise some money by providing the labor of 8 volunteer dads who will be selling tickets for the 50/50 raffle which will take place at the game that night.  These 8 dads will need to purchase a ticket to the game and also arrive at the Wolstein Center at 5:30 P.M. to allow time for training on the credit card machine & learn the details of how the 50/50 raffle will be run that night.  The 8 volunteer dads will be working on selling as many raffle tickets as possible throughout most of the game that night, so if you would like to help out and you plan to bring your kids to the game, you will need to have another adult sit with your kids during the game while you are working to sell the 50/50 raffle tickets.  As a reward for the 8 dads selling as many 50/50 raffle tickets as possible, our longhouse will receive 40% of the total jackpot assembled that night.  The lucky fan who wins the 50/50 raffle will receive 50% of the total jackpot and the team will keep the remaining 10%.

This is a fun event which can also help the longhouse pay for some of the expenses which are incurred to run the longhouse with the overall continuous goal of enhancing everyone’s experience as a member of CVNSD.  Please strongly consider volunteering your time and volunteer to be one of the eight dads selling the 50/50 raffle tickets that night.  I am going to be one of the 8 volunteers and I can provide a ride for a majority of the volunteers to and from the game to make parking as efficient as possible.

Either way, if you would like to sit back and enjoy the basketball game with your family or if you would like to help the longhouse stay financially strong, please send me an e-mail to let me know how many tickets you would like to purchase for the low cost of $7.00 each.  The tickets will be distributed electronically, so no paper tickets will exist for the game.  Please contact me should you have any additional questions regarding this longhouse event.
