CVNSND Dads, Kids and Pathfinders are invited to spend the night at the Buffalo Naval Park, located in Buffalo, New York

The overnighter will take place Saturday, May 21st, 2022.  The maximum number of participants is twenty (20) CVNSND members and registration will be open to all on a first come, first served basis.  Registrations can be made exclusively via the on-line registration process found below.  The registration deadline is whenever we hit the maximum of twenty (20) participants via the on-line registrations or no later than April 1st, 2022 – whichever comes first!  Don’t delay – register and pay today!

The cost for admission is $67.00 per person and includes an overnight stay on the USS Little Rock Missile Cruiser, dinner and breakfast in the ship’s galley and a self-guided tour of all three vessels docked in port at the Naval Park.  The three (3) vessels are as follows: the USS Sullivans, a destroyer, the USS Little Rock, a guided missile cruiser, and the USS Croaker, a submarine.  There will be three (3) hours of free time the night of our arrival.  Stay as long as you like on Sunday touring the Museum, the Artifact Display Yard and exploring the three Naval Vessels.  The exhibits in the museum at the port and on-board USS Little Rock begin with the War of 1812 and move forward to Desert Storm.  Take a step back in time as you walk through the Artifact Display Yard and see some the equipment and vehicles that helped change and make history.  They include an H-1 Huey Helicopter, an M42 Walker Bulldog Tank, a Navy F4JB Fury Jet and much more.  Enjoy an on-board movie on Saturday night.  The ship’s crew has a number of activities planned throughout the evening.  Lights out Saturday night at 10.30 P.M.  Our wake up time on Sunday morning is at 6:30 A.M. sharp (remember, it’s the military) then it is time to pack up and clean the Berthing Area.  Bunk inspection happens next and then breakfast will be served at 7:30 A.M. sharp.

As of this writing on May 5th, 2022, the Buffalo Naval Park has the following policy in place:

“The health and safety of our visitors and staff is our top priority. Masks will be highly recommended when not eating or sleeping. We will continue to monitor current Erie County and New York State guidelines, which are subject to change.”

As additional updates occur, CVNSND will communicate the potential changes to the health and safety policy as we get closer to the date of the event.

Check-in time on Saturday, May 21^st, is between 3:30 P.M. to 4:00 P.M.  Nearby activities include: Niagara Falls, Maid of the Mist, Cave of the Winds & Fort Niagara. (Niagara Falls is approximately 30 minutes from the Naval Park).  Departure on Sunday is any time from 10:00 A.M. forward.  Your overnight stay grants you in-out privileges to the Naval Park during business hours on Sunday, so feel free to stay as long as you wish on Sunday afternoon.

To register and pay for this event, please scroll down on this page and input the applicable information under the heading “TICKETS.” We are utilizing a registration system which will enable you to register and pay for the event in advance with either a credit card via PayPal or your PayPal account.  Also, don’t forget to also bring a dollar for the Dads’ patch.

The registration system will generate a ticket for each person attending the event when payment is received via PayPal.  Please be sure to be prepared to show the e-mail containing your tickets’ QR code which we will use for the expedited check-in process.  You can print the e-mail containing the tickets or simply have them ready to show on your smart phone when you arrive for check-in on Saturday afternoon.
