CVNSD Dads, Kids and Pathfinders are invited to spend the night at the Buffalo Naval Park

Registration this year will be done directly with the Naval Park at the link below. Please select the May 2, 2026 weekend, select the appropriate full payment ticket for you (chaperone) and kids (youth). Upon checkout it will ask for a group name, please enter Cuyahoga Valley Native Sons and Daughters. YOU MUST ENTER THE GROUP NAME. This allows the encampment to properly bunk our whole group together. Space is limited by the naval base website based on the number of individuals signed up. Don’t delay – register and make your payment arrangements today!

The cost is $79.00 per person and includes an overnight stay on the USS Little Rock Missile Cruiser, dinner and breakfast in the ship’s galley and a self guided tour of all three vessels docked in port at the Naval Park. The three (3) vessels are as follows: the USS Sullivans, a destroyer, the USS Little Rock, a guided missile cruiser, and the USS Croaker, a submarine. Check-in time is between 3:30pm to 4:30pm on Saturday, May 2nd. There will be three (3) hours of free time the night of our arrival. Stay as long as you like on Sunday touring the Museum, the Outdoor Exhibit Yard, Monuments Garden and exploring the three Naval Vessels. Take a step back in time as you walk through the Outdoor Exhibit Yard and see some of the equipment and vehicles that helped change and make history. Enjoy an on-board movie on Saturday night. The ship’s crew has a number of activities planned throughout the evening. Lights out Saturday night at 10.30 P.M. Dads are responsible for taking shifts for the fire and safety watches throughout the night. Reveille, Reveille Sunday morning is at 6:30 A.M. sharp (remember, it’s the military) then it is time to pack up and clean the Berthing Area. Bunk inspection happens next and then breakfast will be served at 7:30 A.M. sharp. Nearby activities include: Niagara Falls, Maid of the Mist, Cave of the Winds & Fort Niagara. (Niagara Falls is approximately 30 minutes from the Naval Park).
